Meet Your Moderator Bev Hamel Of Antiques in Bethania

I was born a paper junkie and this was my very first collection - my father had a shop in Lahaska Pa for many years offering paper collectibles - so the trait was inherited. This stuff literally oozes out of every space imaginable in my office area - I cant bear to part with it or sell it!

Thanks Bill!  I think we will end up selling lots on eBay or in store.  I have a few customers who asked to look at them, but I will need to double check any they cherry pick!

Personally, I view Playbills as being of minimum value. Any copies that may have been rare from a defunct theater; have a famous actor/actress early in their career; or have a cover that displays nicely for decorative purposes. You could always "cherry pick" these type items and send the balance to auction. Just my thoughts.

I was recently given a large collection of Playbills, local to Vermont and a stack from Broadway.  The earliest is 1948.  I sell items for a local charity shop and have no idea where to start with these!  Any thoughts?

I have finally decided to sell all my holiday items (mostly ephemera).  No, they don't take up much room.  Yes, I still use them (even when I send a card signed and used by another I just sign "and Debbie" after the name.  It usually guarantees a prompt letter from the receiver!  At the time these cards were sent, a lot of them were signed in pencil so that you COULD re-use them by erasing them.  I love them.  I'm thinking I will put them on Bidstart but this will take a while.  Just the New Years Cards took a week and I haven't put them up for sale yet so if you see any that you like or are interested in another holiday (besides Halloween) just drop me a line at Shabbypoyye@gmail.com
