These tortoiseshell combs look very retro. They are about 5" long on average. When was this style of comb in use and do they have any value?

A pretty item to use as well as collect. This piece (still sealed) is from the 1950s and is in very good condition. It makes a 'striking' presentation on your vanity or bath shelf & it is also collectible.  Called Electrique from Max Factor.

I find beauty in some of the simplest of things, such as early milk glass cold cream jars.  When grouped together they can make a striking display and they are very affordable with lots of different designs.  Here is one currently for sale at the Vintage Touch online store at: http://deannamoyers.ecrater.com/p/12917432/vtg-ponds-cold-cream-milk
