My father was a Lt and an engineer with the US Army Military Intelligence European Theatre Division in France, then Austria then Frankfort (1945 kept moving their offices). I have a briefcase full of letters, used and unused (real picture) post cards, v-mails, western unions, U.S. Soldier's map to Hitler's Mountain Retreat, ribbon he tore off uniform he found there, etc.

I found a button off my father's uniform today made especially for the Army Corp of Engineer's which is the main division/ They are the division that rebuilt bridges in Europe and also built and dropped the atom bombs in 1945
