Craig, this is great. Do you want to copy and paste this as a forum discussion above so it will be archived? Or shall I,

I am missing a lot of new T.V. shows about antiques and collectibles which are now on a variety of networks and cable channels. Please consider helping us out and adding as many new shows as you are aware of in the FORUM and comment wall of the group

Ladies I saw the ad for the "Sisters"  It's on Lifetime. A supposed female orientated channel. The commercial confirmed what we have said about the show. I do not have any desire to spend my time watching 2 women who are being "guided" through piles of crap turning it into "useful decorative crap" Please tv producers and casting directors give me, actually us a break.

Oh God thats one of the things I really hate about American Pickers. Rust and old S--- in barn yards is not something I'm into at all. I want Grams sewing basket and jewelry box! My partner and I roamed the midwest for years, Lived in Denver. We bought quilts right off a ladies cloths line one day! Thats my kinda stuff. 2 lawyers wives in front of a camera being told whats good is not very interesting and is as you have indicated annoying. Two women who really know what is what ... good idea. Do women always have to be "gorgeous, beautifully dressed and have perfect hair" to be in front of a camera??????? That right there makes me cranky!

No End in Sight for TV’s Obsession With Collectibles

by Adam Buckman
Jun 18th, 2011 | 11:56 AM | Comments 0

Shows about storage units, pawn shops, auctions and artifacts in your attic continue to explode.

And we’re proud to say: We told you so! We first noted this rapidly growing, “unscripted” subgenre last March, when we took an inventory and came up with about 20 shows (starting with the granddaddy of them all, “Antiques Roadshow”) dealing, in one way or another, with the kind of stuff many of us have lying around the house – some of it collectible (i.e. sellable for decent money) and some of it not.

Twenty is a huge number for any category of TV show, but guess what – in recent weeks, five more of these “second-hand” series have emerged. Even more noteworthy, the genre is about to make a leap from cable to broadcast television with NBC and Fox each launching shows of their own in the category this summer.
.

.
Why bring this up now? Because one of these new ones premieres this coming week – “Storage Hunters” on TruTV, launching Tuesday night (June 21) at 10/9c (following the fourth-season premiere, at 9/8c, of “Hardcore Pawn”). It’s one of a handful of shows focused solely on the world of abandoned storage units and the colorful characters who buy their contents at on-site auctions. A&E already has “Storage Wars,” which has done so well that the cable channel is developing a Texas-based spinoff, “Storage Wars: Dallas.”

.

Watch an episode of History Channel’s “American Pickers,” one of our favorite collecting shows,

Do You live near Las Vegas?

Are you interested in buying an Antique Fire Extinguisher?

Here is the deal....The History Channel needs a "customer" to go on camera at

"Rick's Restoration" for their show "American Restoration and purchase a 1940s Antique Fire Extinguisher.

Any interested buyers should email Melissa at  Americanrestorationtv@gmail.com and if you know anyone who collects these that she might be able to speak with, please contact Melissa.
