Comment by Carly Novich on March 12, 2012 at 4:06pm Hi! I'm working on a new show; created by the Producers of the hit TV shows “Canadian Pickers” and “American Pickers". This new show, will be a competition TV show, as several teams will set out in pursuit of the BEST PICK, ultimately earning the title of Top Collector!
We are currently casting for amateur Canadian "Picking Partners"- two people that pick together anywhere from auctions, to flea markets, to barns to dumpsters (etc.)! We are looking for people that are charismatic, knowledgeable about collecting, know how to spot hidden treasures, and flip items for profit. Pickers who specialize in collecting items such as sports memorabilia, vintage toys, oil and gas memorabilia, pop culture items, cast iron, TV & movie memorabilia, and other interesting and unique items!
If there is anyone you think might be interested in entering the competition and being a part of this show, we would love to hear from them!
For more information or to APPLY to be on the show, please email pickercasting@cineflix.com.
Thanks!

Hi,I'm so glad your website reads " Go Green -REcycling Antiques". Nice to see this catching on.
While I read 'Antiques are Green was launched by Nigel Worboys in September 2009-“ The first website to promote the green credentials of antiques”, I am a little puzzled.
I've run Green Spot Antiques since 2005, in Cambridge, Ontario. Our byline has been "Antiques Recyclers", since 2005.
Either way, a pleasure to see the Toronto Market, where some of our favourite customers hail from, catching onto the "green wave" with respect to Antiques.
If you are ever out Cambridge way.. do drop in... or head on over to http://greenspotantiques.com for a preview of an antiques/recycler/salvaging operation in full swing.
I promise the pricing makes the trip worthwile.
Cheers.
Vince.

Comment by Toronto Antique Shows on January 5, 2011 at 10:31pm I will certainly look out for Chatty Cathy dolls while I'm out and about here in Toronto! They are becoming more scarce as you know but they still turn up. I've had them in the past but don't have any at the moment. Are you interested in them in any condition?!
