Hello,

I am looking for a children's book from around 1919 or 1920.  it may be a short story.  The subject of the book/story is Peepsie the Chick or Chicken.  Has anyone heard of or seen this book?  Thanks!

There are some rare and unique books in the online auction at www.afamilyheirloom.com. If you have a penchant for American presidential books, or  a desire to check out this eclectic group of lots..this is a spot to check. The auction ends on Saturday the 21st at 9 PM. Here are some of the books. If you collect books from the "rough riders" era: this book by Theodore Roosevelt is a beauty about his hunting adventures in Africa. It is great condition. There are also children's books to peruse there.. and something special for the collector of all things Girls Scouts

Early children's storybooks just charm the socks off of me.  Here are a couple of early Linen like books that are in very good condition for sale at the Vintage Touch online store.

The first is a copyright dated 1930 Linen Like book:

The second is a 'LINENTEX' book (no date) probably 1920s.

There are many more wonderful VINTAGE books for sale at the Vintage Touch online store so you are invited to visit anytime.

To all members of I antique on Line - this is a great place, but what even makes it greater is being able to "see" you --- and by seeing you, this does not mean your actually self but an identity or pseudo image if you will, that could be anything you want to be (within reason). I have many different Avatars - or images - but here I like using a photo of my brick and mortar store. I also like using my puppies - one such photo is of my Yorkie Zoie with her five puppies beneath her, and one pup in particular named Mackie who at the same time I snapped the picture, rolled on his back. This is definitely a Kodak moment. However; you do not have to be camera proficient and can even choose clip art or anything free from the Internet.

We want you to have an enjoyable time here, and to stay a while. which means we would like to "see you" !!!!

Thanks for the link. A great history and more reason to treasure this volume.

It makes this book even more desirable if someone cannot find an original or afford one.

It is for sale.

Chuck, that looks like it may be a reprint of the Kelmscott Chaucer.

Here's some info on the original:

I'm a big fan of William Morris :o)
