I Antique Online

I have to say , I like the old 50s/60s space adventure books like Tom Swift, Digg Allen etc. written before man stepped foot on the moon, but I've also started collecting poetry books I have one called The Poetry Book by Miriam Blanton Huber, Herbert Bruner & Charles Madison Curry Rand McNally copyright 1926 I picked it up at a book sale and when I read this hand written inscription I knew I had to have it: Tho' the days are dark as night - don't worry
Tho' there's not a star in sight don't worry
Tho' the sun refuse to shine, Inward joy's can still be thine
If you trust in the divine - so don't worry!
The cover has a ship with the #8 on it and if anyone knows if it's part of a series please let me know I'll try to post some photos soon -Thanks, Holly

I have two favorite genre's of books. My first most favorite is the historical fiction. I find it facinating to be transported to another time while still learning a lot of interesting things about history. My second favorite is Mystery's. I absolutely loved wilkie collins "Moonstone" - this is considering the very first "mystery" book, All the sherlock holmes books are great as well as the agatha Chrsties and even some modern Stephen King books are great too! Like many Cottage collectors, I like books that have covers of pretty women .images. Books with similar images as above...sell well and can be collected just for their graphics. While the condition of this book is somewhat worn on the spine...the front cover is still in lovely shape.

These books are so lovely they should definitely be preserved and enjoyed! Beautiful!
What a unique and fragile piece of American history! I love the language used (noticed in photos) Moral Evils of War - Remedies for War - We could use a few good remedies! LOL Thanks! Greg
