How to Get Visitors to Stay on Your Blog Longer
By , About.com Guide

Getting people to visit your blog and keeping them on your blog once they find it are two different things. When you think about how to get visitors to stay on your blog longer, you need to think about the content, design, and tools that keep people interested and encourage them to keep clicking and consuming more content. Following are a number of tricks to increase visit duration on your blog, which can help your blog grow and achieve new levels of success.

Prioritize Internal Linking

Use the tag and category features in your blogging application to easily find content by keywordthat you published in past blog posts. Create a list of important keywords that you should use astagslabels, or categories (depending on which blogging application you use), and every time you write a post with one of those keywords, link to the main tag, label, or category page within your post. Try to include links to relevant posts within your blog post text whenever you can. Internal linking is one of the best ways to keep people on your blog longer.
