Hi, I haven't posted anything for a long time, so hopefully, I do it right. I have searched everywhere trying to identify this mark. The name is just worn enough that I can't make it out. I am also at a loss as to the purpose of this wonderful pail/bucket. It measures 2 1/2 inches tall not including the handle and 3 inches across the top. So if anyone could help me identify the maker and shed light on the pails purpose I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

HI Linda, I think your bucket was made to be either an Ice bucket or as a "cooler" for a bottle of wine. Depending on exact sizes, the wine coolers are smaller usually, and could be kept in a cooler, or a cellar to get chilly, then the bottle of wine would be placed inside, keeping your wine the right temp to serve!

Now, the signature is very difficult. I think the last name might be Gramm, or Grahamm? The first name is only showing Ed.. Edward, Edmoud or something? May be a foreign name we wouldn't expect, like A Norwegian designer - which would be great news for you!

Here's a link for makers of silver around the world, see if using the last name of either Gram, Gramn, Or Graham gets you anywhere. Keep us posted and Good Luck!
