As I check this sight out more it amazes me what I really don't know. Many smart folks out there and thanks for helping as you's do. The vase is 8" tall.The exterior is kinda bumpy feeling.

It may be oriental. I have see red  marks such at the one you posted on .  It is not very clear possibly due to the haste that was stamped with. You might use ultraviolet light to bring out the lettering. I use longwave and shortwave light to bring out details.

Some collectors use infrared viewers to bring out details that cannot see with the naked eye. Example old paintings restored areas. I do not have that yet.
