I feel I also must comment on "Sell My Antiques".  I think we have quite a few "Tire Kickers".  A kind of Chat Room mentality.  The enjoyment comes from looking, not buying.  Also it is quite difficult to sell an antique online.  As most dealers understand, you have to hold it to buy it.  I find that on this site as well as others it is "Dealers buying from Dealers".  One more thing, do we accept  the fact that the item is an Antique because a person says it is? A true Antique should be at least 100 years old and Vintage at least 50+.  Too often an item is not presented with this in mind.

This is an absolutely beautiful original hand-inlaid wood piece by Buchschmid & Gretaux! This mid-century art is in excellent condition with no marks, chips or other blemishes on the inlay or the frame. The original Buchschmid tape and labels are still fully intact on the back. One label identifies the piece being an original hand-inlaid piece of art work, wood veneers in natural colors, and no paint or glass. The second label identifies the ABC Studio Otto Chlup, Kehlerweg 1, 6900 Heidelberg/Germany, Tel. (06221) 303380. The art depicts two musicians playing their instruments. It has the class BG inlay at the bottom right hand corner identifying the highly recognized Buchschmid & Gretaux as the artists (designer and inlay professionals). The entire piece measures 8 15/16” in width x 10 1/2” in height. We have inspected this piece closely and there appears to be no blemishes at all. This rare treasure is in amazing condition!

We're asking $400 but will consider reasonable offers!  Please email us if you have any questions or would like additional photos of this item. Free Shipping & Handling within the continental U.S.A.

well, I think that because this site began as an informational site most of the users are of that mode, not buyers, just lookers and do you know anything about what you are looking at, I know that's my thought process although perhaps if someone were to offer an item in my interest area I might think of purchasing it.

Donna,

I've only listed a few but never heard from anyone.

Does anyone ever sell anything they list on this site. I've been putting items on here for a while and have not even gotten any inquiry from anyone or a comment, let alone a sale. It's beginning to feel like this website is a complete waste of time & effort. I'm looking for feedback from other members, please.

I inherited this antique brass wood chest.  Does anyone have any idea of where/when it was made?   What is it's value?

This is a livestock watering pan. The cow (or pig) presses his snout against the star to release water from the pipe. Pretty ingenious! I've seen these before but never with the star. It is approx. 10" wide and is made or cast iron. Heavy. I'm asking $165.00 and shipping should be about $20.00. Thanks for looking. Steve Maxwell, steve@troyfaust.com or 830-496-1606.

Wonderful watercolor paintings by the listed British painter Robert Hollands Walker (act.1882-1920).  Great fox hunt scenes, showing the historic fox hunt.  Watercolor on paper/board, signed lower left.  Watercolor measures 19 x 12 inches to the matt, approx. 28 x 21 inches framed.  Condition is very nice, bright, strong colors.
Sorry there is some glare on the glass over the painting.  Selling for $600 plus shipping.
