When I answered the persons question "is anyone selling" I said Ruby Lane is not easy to use. Clicks is by far and away the trick puzzle in terms of selling. The first year possibly2 I was on the Lane I didn't use them didn't have a clue what they were or how to use them Even after watching the film I found myself in a state of confusion. So I decided to jump in and play in the "click pool" It has made a difference in my sales. About 4 months ago after playing for a year or so I have found a level that seems to work for my shop. Now if I can master plaza bucks.... heck if I can just find the link to use them! The plaza is MUCH slower in all respects, but I am willing to have patience and put in the time. I do have NWT clothing that thank God I can now sell. So I will hang in there while they tweek the site.

just wondering if "fellow ruby laners" pay for clicks on ruby lane - we did this a little bite a long time ago and was wondering what others feel about this - does add up on a daily basis, but if it increases biz maybe it is worth it?!

Hello, I buy and sell on Ruby Lane and have found it to be a good resource for information, too. My shop is only a year old and while my inventory is not flying off the shelf, I'm also still building my antique business, which is a side endeavor for me--the more time I invest in it, the more I list and the more I sell. Their fees are quite reasonable and they do not take commission like etsy and ebay.
My store is in the Links page on this site, but if you are looking for antique china (flow blue, French pottery, transferware) or stained glass, please visit! susies268antiques on Ruby Lane

No Dianne, you don't need to start a separate group for Ruby Plaza. Ruby Plaza is a sister site to Ruby Lane, and allows you to sell newer items on there as well as Vintage items. They are owned and run by Ruby Lane.

Can someone tell me more about "Ruby Lane" and Ruby Plaza" ? Do I need to start a separate group for "Ruby Plaza" ?

Thanks Dianne

I have been thinking about a shop in Ruby Plaza, due to having some newer stuff as well as vintage stuff. There are a few reasons that I have hesitated about it: 1) my photos may not be up to their standards, 2) how well do things sell on Ruby Lane & Ruby Plaza, and 3) the cost. I know Ruby Plaza has a special going on for set up until the end of the year, but are there monthly charges as well that I would have to pay, even if I don't sell anything on there? How do you figure out which category to list it in, if it fits more than 1 category, or can you list it in more than 1? Is there a charge for listing in more than 1 category if it fits in more than 1? What's the average time from listing to sale on Ruby Lane & Ruby Plaza? How many pictures are you allowed to have per item?

hi all -
we are on ruby lane - evelynne's oldies but goodies - we specialize in vintage bakelite jewelry, bakelite kitchenware and accessories - we have been on ruby lane for about 7 years and for the most part enjoy our ruby lane experience. would love to hear from others on ruby lane! we are currently having a shop wide sale which is 20% off all items - mention this group to receive an addtional 5% off our already sale priced items!
