Hi Cliff, It took me awhile to figure out what your comment below was in reference to...now I get it...you were responding to Ellene's comment a few messages below....thanks for taking the time to offer your wisdom, appreciated, Dianne

Hi Ellene,

It looks pretty snazzy to me. What platform is it built on?

The only thing I noticed that may cause cart abandonment, and I'm not sure if you have enough control over the backend to change this, is that your cart asks me to register at step 1 of checkout. People generally prefer a quick anonymous checkout with option to register at the end of the process. Think about it, you're trying to instill trust through the checkout process and anything causing the customer to think twice about moving forward in the process may cause them to abandon it. The best checkouts are going to be a one or two click process with further options after payment has been made.

Otherwise it looked good to me from a usability standpoint. The only other thing I can think of to create more sales would be ... more stock. Just keep adding. Every product page you add is going to make your site bigger, giving it more reach, expanding the SEO potential, etc.

You're definitely on the right track though, just the fact that traffic is growing tells you that. Keep up the great work!

Cliff

What a great idea! I love marketing and will be so happy to learn from this group how to promote my antique & collectible business. I only have an online store that we built ourselves and just started this year. Will this be a good place for others to critique my website? I have worked hard on SEO but I think there might be some basics I'm missing since the traffic has been growing steadily but the sales have not. Thanks!
