#1 when ever the weather is nice and there around we will go to them, its a good passtime.

#2 ..If the weather is nice, I like an outside booth, and most of them up here, except summer are inside. Will set up to sell twice a month in the summer.

#3 we go to antique mall/flea markets at least twice a wk.

We dont have the same weather as you guys

Hope that helped.

Applause to Rick Murray for his entrepreneurship! And thanks for letting us all know WHERE it's located. A little out of my way from No. FL, regrettably. On that note, here are more questions for your survey:

How far would you travel to visit a flea market to a/ shop, b/ set up?

My A: 20-25 miles if the market is large and popular, 10 miles or less if a smaller, less attended market.

MY B: Same answer. I'd be less likely to set up at a smaller market, however, regardless of distance. Not much point.

What are your criteria for a flea market for you to a/ shop, b/set up?

My A and B: About the same as above. Plus I select the good market days when the fleamarket is the busiest with most vendors. Example: If few vendors on Saturdays because most vendors are doing other markets,  I'd go on Sundays when they are in attendance at my closest larger market. And the space rental would have to be advantageous. A discount for more than 1 day is nice. Another discount for monthly, etc. is also recommended.

Answers to your other questions:

1, How often..  About once a month. In "season" perhaps twice. Or when I am actively searching for something in particular.

2. Likely to go.. Probably next weekend and/or the next. It's Spring when the markets here come alive (Florida). In summer they die down as dealers go north with their wares then.

3. Likely to set up.. Not applicable for me any longer. Used to set up once a month when I had merchandise.

To bear in mind: The ebb and flow of your local market, the days people are likely to set up and to shop, the time of the year, the distances to the nearest most inhabited areas, etc. Experience over time will tell you.

Seems like it would be a good idea to arrange to allow comments directly to appropriate posts! This would make it easier to find the comments related to things you have said.

Liz Bryman, if you were asking me where the flea market is, it is in Whetstone, AZ right at the intersections of state routes 90 and 82 known as Mustang Corners. I am in southeastern AZ in the high desert.

I am in the process of building a flea market. We all love flea markets and it has always been my dream to have my own. I hold the market right now in a small fenced in, paved lot with about 75 spaces. My goal is to build this enough to allow me to obtain a Veteran's backed SBA guaranteed loan so I can purchase a piece of land and build a large, permanent market with indoor, outdoor, covered spaces, permanent spaces and even small stores people can rent.

Among the things I must do is build a business plan. Part of the plan is a market research survey. While most of the members here will likely not come down to southeast Arizona to buy or sell here, there are still questions that are very important to the survey. If you could take a couple minutes to answer I would greatly appreciate it.

How often do you attend a flea market?

Have you ever set up to sell at a flea market? How many times?

How likely are you to attend a flea market in the next week? Next month? Next year? How often will you sell at a market?

I need answers from both locals and across the country to show the demand for the market for both buyers and sellers. Thanks for helping!

Call me slightly behind the 8-ball but I can't find exactly where the place to write the comment is in the "discussions"? How do I get there?

I'd vote to remove the bottom section since it is a little confusing as to the difference between the two sections.

TaleWeavers is a great name! That is what we do really, try to put the clues together to tell the story of an item. Sorry, just my opinion.

To everybody who is reading this, it drives me crazy that if you post in the top portion of a group called "discussions" you can have a nice neat conversation where someone can reply directly under the last comment made. This forms a clear thread of themed comments. If you post on the "comment wall" in the lower section of a group, there is no threads and organization. Anyone getting the difference? just pointing out the difference between what happens when you post in the top section versus the bottom section of s group, any ideas? I could remove the bottom section?
