This Lionel poster was left by the previous owner of the house my parents bought in 1975. It's been hanging in the cellar for probably over 50 years. It depicts a pink train that was made especially for girls and was marketed in the late 1950's. My dad tried to take it down once and tore it on the right side. Several train collectors have wanted to purchase it from me, but I have no idea what to ask in its current condition. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The yellow car is an electric trolley car circa 1900-1910. There is a REALLY NEAT 7 minute movie on U-Tube showing pre-earthquake downtown San Francisco. First 35 mm camera was mounted on a trollie. Your yellow car can be seen early on. Lots of old cars, trolleys, horse drawn wagons. Bikes, kids, one big cop.  I've watched it 7-8 times.  Like the music too! Enjoy.

Sallie, that engine you have that is electric appears to be an electric subway train engine from NYC. The engine was put in the middle to spread out the g-forces. If at the front the weight of the engine at speed caused the tracks to spread which caused derailment.  Putting it in the center got rid of that problem. The real engine appeared around 1899-1901
