Thanks, Carin. There's another pup under the chair and they love the room. The curtains are a hold over from the previous scheme and since I really like them, I decided to live with them in there for a while to see if they work. They don't, more 40's than modern, so that's the last bit to deal with.

I'm trying to add link but it won't show up.

But it's the Confessions of a collector group. I started a discussion about living with your collectibles. Pics are there.

Kitschy Koo, Way cool light and I love your house. Love what you done with it. It's fun I see a pooky bear happy on the floor. What a cutie. The rug well, maybe ask your vet they have some great ideas and they deal with that kinda stuff all the time since they have rugs that have to be cleaned at their offices. Just a thought. What other room did you add the photos to I would love to see the tranformation.

One more thing. I have a fantastic and huge Rya rug, wonderful bold colors and want to use it in my new shop - but it smells of dog pee. I left messages on several rug cleaner voicemails and not one returned my call. I guess cleaning shag rugs is no longer popular! Wonder why? Anyway, any ideas on how to go about having this beauty professionally cleaned?

Carin, I added photos in another group of the transformation of my overly cluttered dining room/antique store - before and after. Although it is still a work in progress, you might be interested in the decidedly 60s/70s feel with orange accents, so I'm adding it here also. (Just the after, not the before because it's so embarrassing)

Regarding the lightbulb light fixture: I purchased one of these from a Brooklyn, NY antiques shop 2 years ago for a RIDICULOUS price but I had to have it for my "studio" and yes, the "idea" was to hang it over my desk to light up my ideas! I love the fixture still. It has the original tag still attached that says VV Made in France. Here's the beauty:

Hi, Eames era for sure. So 1950's that is what the era is called. Milo could be it, but I am very drawen to Juhl if you see it was made overseas, American them maybe lane or Charles Eames. He made furniture to. I used to have a group on here completely devoted to Danish Modern, so check out my photos I am sure you get some great ideas for your new Danish Modern decor. Feel free to ask who made something in my photos I can let you know who did.

Eames? I had been advised Milo Baughman. Awesome fun---I love this furniture and the search. It's so exciting to find good stuff. I LOVE Finn Juhl. I am highly taken with his designs. Thanks and I will find a bright day to take my chair and ottoman outside to search for a mark!

I'll get back with you!

he light is really neat. Wow that I am sure is worth a pretty penny now. That is the best thing about those items they only go up in value the longer you have them. I thought those lights were from the 70's. I will have keep an eye out for them while hunting, now that I know they are older than that. I had a rosie pink bathroom once in my old house it was awesome. That color is great for getting ready in the morning, brightens your day for sure.

Regarding the light bulb fixture joke...well anyway :) , regarding the fixture, the owner purchased it in the 60's and still had it! I agree the rest of their house didn't match but he did paint the kitchen pink recently - on purpose.
