I have my own thoughts regarding Pyrex. I love the "old" but wouldn't considering buying any of the new.

There are many, many complaints, numerous lawsuits in regards to the "new" Pyrex blowing up. Perhaps a selling point for those that have the older, Corelle made, Pyrex.

Just my two cents,

Lisia,

i do not have personal experience with using older Pyrex dishes in the oven or Microwave but I do cook in newer Pyrex dishes i have cracked a dish or two when I rush to cook a previously frozen or refrigerated dish. It's best to let glassware get to room temperature first. I would welcome more dialogue on this topic. I did read the valuable links you provided......thanks for taking the time to share this information.
