I know....isn't robomargo an excellent site!! So much there, so many ideas, and she makes it look so easy too..LOL! I have always adored her site, and stuff she has. Course, I use to live about 30 minutes from where she is...and miss it some days:)

@vintagerecycling And if you go check out the site of that yard sale the day before or on trash day, you'll find the stuff that didn't sell, and that the owner no longer wanted. More good (free) stuff! lol!

Vintage recycling...glad you were able to control your urge and limit your binge to only two piles...that is very hopeful, Dianne

yesterday we took my boys to portland for a taekwondo event and right across the street a huge estate sale.....im guilty of buying two $5 "piles" of junk from that sale...one before the event..one after .......
as for my free pile find.....yes, one found me...... grabbed an old school chair I plan to decoupage with vintage ephemera

christy......."And I'm always careful not to leave a mess, by putting things back neatly as possible back in the boxes, etc." hahahaHA that's too funny, do we all do that? i can just imagine how many free piles (and junk store bins..) have been cleaned and straightened up by us :) .....

I found a small microwave, but I half expected that it wouldn't work. Not only did it work, it served me well for about 10 years. Can't beat the price of a FREE working microwave!
PS: I also Freecycle. I'm sure most, if not all of you are already aware of Freecycle, where you can post unwanted items...(do any of us actually have any UNWANTED items?? lol!) or you can ask for something that you need. I personally enjoy the thrill of the hunt and find method, digging through boxes put out by the side of the road.
And I'm always careful not to leave a mess, by putting things back neatly as possible back in the boxes, etc.
There were some Freecyclers in the Princeton, NJ area who were taking items from Freecycle, saying "I could use that"! and then they would proceed to sell those items at a flea market. I do NOT condone that sort of thing. I believe that Freecycle items are for those folks who can really USE them, or NEED them....I just found that to be terribly unethical and I sort of started a battle on that particular Freecycle site. (whoops!) I just can't believe that there were people in that group that really thought that it was OK to say that they needed or could use the item, and then would turn around and sell it for their own personal gain. Ugh.
