Teah it is funny, but I do agree with you Tom, its a drag dragging around with others who just might steal what you want right out from under you.

But it is interesting to meet other sellers and buyers in that type of atmosphere, after all we all have a lot in common and it would be fun as  a group once in a while!

Kidding aside, I had a garage sale buddy last summer. She was 88 (I was 68). She lost her license so I stepped in.  At first it was fun, but then she started having me stop here and there for groceries or other
errands.  She also liked to talk to the people, and she didn't like
going early to a sale; that was rude she said...and she also bought
stuff off her table that I would have bought had she not been there.
All in all it was not a good idea.  Luckily another friend took over freeing me from my obligation.

So I operate alone now; my rules, go where I want, stay as long or short as I want; I even drive past some sales.  And when I spot a SINGLE piece of Carnival glass for $5. I don't have to wrench it out my
friends' hands!

NY here. Me and my wife love to go shopping at rummage sales and Salvation Army. and we also do some bottle hunting in the summer. WE love old books and have been collecting them for a long time. WE have gotten alot of old school books already

Group trips are great, lets keep it in mind when the snow stops, probably in April.

I'm in 01463 MA I love to go to auctions, shops, shows and anywhere a treasure may be found. None of my friends are into antiques so I end up going alone and I dont mind roadtrips.
