I'm just getting started with Victorian era cut crystal. I guess thats what they call the ABP American brilliant period? It's so confusing and some of the pieces that I purchased, seem to be czechoslovakian in origin! They are beautiful but not as sparkly as some the Hawkes vases I have. Does anyone know of a really good book for American Crystal or maybe a good website? I would really appreciate any help. These patterns/cuttings are really confusing!!!

Thanks Sheri but I have all the plates I can use. I think I have service for 6 now so am gathering the occasional pieces like the candy dishes anf such. I just got startd on the pink and yellow colors too!! All together there are 320 pieces so far. I all started with one little cone shaped sherbet that was the only thing leftover from my grandmothers estate. She had a whole set at one time, when I was a kid!! Take Care, Thom.
Hey, what pieces are you getting rid of in Vaseline glass? LOL!! If any!
I sure love that cabinet you sent me pictures of years ago!!
Love Ya!

I have 2 - 8" Block Optic plates - true Vaseline color and one 2 handled, 4-3/4" bowl - Vaseline with opalescent rim. The bowl is shallow - may have been a consumme or broth bowl.
