a friend of mine has owned a long time, and wants to sell, but I am not sure how to describe.

That one looks very similar to the one I shared the link for. I don't know why it won't open...I can't open it either. Anyway..here's another link for the Lorraine by Chalet. The center looks very similar to yours. Chalet Lorraine on Ebay

this ebay one shows the artist name etched into it.  Did you look carefully on yours to make sure that you couldn't find any clues.   I would think if yours is by the same maker then it would also show the name.

Some Chalet pieces were only marked with a paper label, often removed. Here is an interesting link on the history. Chalet
