I got this pitcher from a resale shop because it was so pretty and perfect. Looks like a lot of workmanship to cut all those places. I know nothing about glass so hopefully the pictures will tell. On the base there are 3 lines, I see no writing.
Cute little pitcher! It is possibly a creamer. The lines that you see on the bottom are mold marks, meaning it was formed in a 3-part mold. It's not actually cut glass, just made to look like it.
HI Beverly, Yes, LB is right on the point that this is not CUT glass. I think it may be Crystal however. IF you tap the rim with a finger nail do you hear a pretty "Ting" sound? If so that means this is leaded crystal, and it is most likely Czech glass, ie Made in the region of the Czech/Bohemia area of Europe - a place where lovely crystal has been made for over 100 years!
Many of the Czech glass patterns are copied from our old cut and pressed glass. Just as a guess, patterns with the type of design you have are usually referred to as "Sawtooth". It's very pretty!
