You can always use the eBay Giving Works program. It is very easy for charitable organizations to get set up and then anyone can give a percentage -- or all -- of the income from a sell to their favorite organization. Here is the charity profile page for the group I work with:
http://givingworks.ebay.com/charity-auctions/charity/Forgotten-Feli...

Also, for groups that do animal rescue and spay/neuter -- they can always use towels; new or used.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for -- if not, feel free to delete.

Hi

Have you heard of a great way to help out a charity that relates in some way to recycling, re-using, upcycling, donasting goods etc. Im looking for ideas that would relate to members of a site on antiques, collectibles, art. If you know of an idea tell us about the idea you heard about..or the group you are invoved with. You can also share a link to a site or news article.

Here are some ideas I just heard about:

Cell phone recycling

Soles 4 Soles (shoe related  to eliminate poverty).

Plastic recycling

Painting bras for charity

Furnishing shelters with vintage finds

Furniture reuse projects

Community repaint projects

Designer clothes reuse

During your lifetime you will directly
or indirectly influence the lives of at
least 10,000 OTHER PEOPLE. The
question you need to ask yourself is,
‘HOW WILL I INFLUENCE THEM?’
