Spanish Moss grows on pine trees in the Pacific Northwest too.

Noticed Spanish Moss hanging from some of the trees.  According to Wikipedia it can be found in the following areas

" Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is a flowering plant that grows upon largertrees, commonly the Southern Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) or Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) in the southeastern United States from Texas and Florida north to Missouri and Virginia.  It is also native to much of MexicoBermuda, the Bahamas,Central AmericaSouth America and the West Indies as well as being naturalized inQueensland (Australia) and in French Polynesia."

Now to identify trees and flowers.   That may shed some light as to its origins.

It appears nicely done.   I wonder who painted it?

S Cooper, can you post a picture of the signature?  I can't tell if it says Harvey or not?

Here is one of yesterday's acquisitions.

It is an oil on canvas painting.  It measures 12" X 16" and seems to date from the late 1950's or early 1960's.

Thoughts, ideas or suggestions are welcome.
