Believe artist is F. Vuotto. Does anyone know anything about this artist, doesn't this look like his work? 1 Reply

Does anyone know anything about this artist? I stumbled across this large painting and wondering if I may have found something of value? Looking for a time period for the artist. Any help…Continue

What technique is this called - etched painting on opaque glass or acrylic panel?

I have this H. Von Heinrich 'Romeo & Juliet' piece. It is framed and the panel feels like glass.  It's not reverse painted, as the painting is on the front. Some areas have a texture to it, like…Continue

I am looking for information about painter Arno Lemke. I have an old gouache of his, a mountain scene. It's in pretty bad shape, but I'm interested in finding anything about it.

I'm not really a seller or a collector of art but occasionally pick up a nice old print or etching. What I have is shown on www.theartsandlettersofmaggiethecat.ecrater.com

SavvyCollector.com sells art for many dealers who don't already have over a decade of website following both nationally and internationally. Contact me if you are looking to expand your reach selling art of various types.  Most of our overseas art is purchased by collectors from those areas who visit the site.

Thank you for the invitation to this group - Fine art has been my biggest challenge being an antiques and collectibles dealer, appraiser and liquidator - seems you need a degree in Art history to even come close to understanding all the elements of collecting! I'm hoping to absorb as much info as possible here! I have collected a few paintings and am intimadated by all of them - LOL - Once I clean them up and try to decipher the signatures, I'll try to post what I have here. Thanks again - Happy New Year!
