About Your Moderator Peggy Jennings

I've always loved antiques and come from a long line of women who love the romance of vintage treasures. My shop "Gramma's Linen Closet" features vintage textiles--kitchen linens, fabric, sewing notions--gathered from my free time spent digging through auction box lots, flea markets, and antique shops. I am based in Central Pennsylvania, where I am also a full time teacher.

My website is http://www.grammaslinencloset.com

There are links there to my Ebay sales and my Etsy shop.

I am currently transitioning my blog from Tumblr back to Blogger. Right now my website has a button to my Tumblr blog, but I also have a blog at:

Some more "finds". Sometimes I have trouble telling hankies from napkins. Are any of these napkins?

I found a cache of embroidered chair cover sets and lace items in my mother's estate. I am interested in selling them this year at a garage sale venue, but I have no idea of their value. Help!

This large crocheted doily was in my aunt's estate. It's almost 2 feet in diameter. Before I put it out in my estate sale, I wanted to know what would be a reasonable price to ask.

Debra - I have always been a knitter - but just recently began to crochet my first project and I love it. I didn't start out with practice pieces but went straight to a baby hoodie! I am nearing the end of the first sleeve and just have the other sleeve and hood to put it together. Point is, this is simple 1/2 double crochet and I am getting it now but NO, I cannot imagine the counting. It probably would have twice as many rip outs as going forward! I think this would be best incorporated into something bigger! There are lots of good pieces among this. The coverlet, some madeira napkins, a few other types of embroidered pieces I have not yet figured out.. And then there is the glass. Oh, the glass!
