We tried different combinations of days....and let me tell you, Sundays are great...so we stick to Saturday/Sunday sales, instead of most everyone else's Fri/Sat.  So on Saturday we are a "fresh" sale (there are so many in this area each week) so we get people who may not have had time to hit too many on Friday and also on Sunday's we get the "drive-bys"....people on the way to/from church, shopping, etc who see our signs and stop in.  We actually get more traffic on Sundays than Saturdays.  My friend who also has an estate sale biz recently told me she had a Sunday sale and was amazed at the traffic and I told her that's why we do it!

Oh cool, I wasn't aware that there where any company's doing sunday sales, How do sundays work for you? is there a pretty good traffic flow?

We don't have a sale scheduled as of yet, but that may change in the next week....but we do Saturday/Sunday sales, so many times I can attend other sales (which I love to do) on Fridays.....

To: Out of the Attic - you will do well just by putting your sale on estatesales.net   There are so many estate sales every single weekend in the Chicago area and we have tons of traffic.  what is your first name, I would love to stop by and see you (and shop :) Make sure you put out good street signs pulling in traffic....we get lots of traffic from people seeing the signs, not even looking for an estate sale!  Good luck!    Charlene

Wow. those toys are worth a small fortune and the original Cat clock! and the perfume is really tempting too.

i just posted on my Facebook page

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Avaricias-Vintage-Millinery-Flowers/1...

and i tweeted too. Hope it helps but really with that kind of inventory it should sell itself.

We've got stink bugs too!  And a few brown recluses and black widows.  But I've noticed they won't bother you, if you don't bother them so don't worry!  Before I go into any clean out job, we set off bug bombs or insect "foggers" in the attic, out building and 3 - 4 in the home if it has been sitting awhile.  It is worth the piece of mind and the client is always okay with our concern.  Stink bugs STINK.  They look like a little armored bug, almost prehistoric looking, and don't ever squash them -- you will never forget the smell!
