Great posts for the scavenger hunt. Hope more people in this group will help Deanna by adding images. The contest is described in the Main Forum on the home page.

Ok here is what I had to do to find that pixel size.  I did click on Zoom under my photo posted on eCrater.  Then left click on the larger image that appears; then right click to bring up 'Inspect Element'; then comes the box that you can see on the right under Img Attributes the size of the image and in the case of the picture below, it is 1095 x 1500px.  So now I know....and hopefully this means most of my photos are ok....hope hope hope.

Got the the magn. glass icon instruction and had to stop....had no magn glass appear.

Yes, size of the pics matter. From what I am reading, it was changed in May to 800 min on one side.

Meryl, no, the size of photos do matter with these new Google rules.  The new acceptable size is 800 x 800 pixels or larger.  They also want higher resolution (quality) photos.  This means instead of, say, 72 or 96 res, they want your digital camera set in the 200-300 range.

As far as size, if you look at Deanna's 'whistling in the dark' print, it's showing on this site as being scaled to 456px × 625px, down from the original size on her site of 1095 x 1500px.

Click on 'zoom' under any of your photos at eCrater, then place your curser on the large image and if you see a magnifying glass icon, left click to zoom again.  Then right click on the pic and choose 'view image info'.  You will see the size in pixels.

Thanks for the info, Bernie, I'll try it.

Evie, Flickr does a very good job. The quickest way is they offer 4-5 different sizes. You can view the picture for each size.  Download the one you need. The quality is very good. I am sorry but all of my computer skills are self taught and I do not know what png means. You can browse flickr photos for examples. Bernie
