This is an Aladdin Alacite electric table lamp, it has an illuminated base I just rewired it, the cord was shot, no it does not have the correct shade & finial, it looks like they had just broke it off carrying out the estate sale, no they did not know where the broke finial was, probly in the trash, these were done in the WW2 era 1940's

Does anyone else have some neat lamps?? Post em

Great little lamp, don't know much about this one...Copper, hand hammered, perhaps arts and crafts? I do know there was a bidding war. :)
any marks on the base as manufacter of the piece?? Oralie?
Craig
Hi Craig,
No marks anywhere that I could find.

Oralie,

with the bear on the shade it would look great in one of those little ( ha-ha) 1-10,000 sq foot log cabins up in Montana, or up at our cabin here in Michigan
Craig
I love cabins. I'm sure it would look great there. I rather like it here with my collection of hand hammered copper. I eventually will "let it go" but have a rule never to sell unless I know for sure what it is that I have or make a decent profit. Someone will recognize it eventually. I have a dealer in town that is wanting it also...but "me no like so much." :)

Oralei
then you enjoy this little lamp at home down south with all its brothers and sisters of hammered copper

I just recently passed up a beautiful Aladdin lamp, complete with shade and finial, for $35...yes, the price was great, but I would have had to walk around holding onto it for several hours. I just knew I would break it. What a shame - I almost bought it to leave the lamp with the seller and pocket just the gorgeous finial, but I decided to leave it intact for someone else to get. Decisions, decisions...
That was really nice of you to leave it behind for someone else.
good will power, some thing I have to learn eventually l probly would have just bought it and walked it back to the truck
