I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

Good Morning,

I've picked up a Hazel Atlas Honeycomb Cobalt Blue Shirley Temple pitcher.  The pitcher is in good shape with no chps or cracks, but there is some wear to the decal decoration.  Can someone give me a ballpark value?  I found a few on ebay priced (buy it now) from $3.99 to $45.00.  I'm guessing it is in the $10.00 to $20.00 range, am I correct?

Thanks!

Thank you, Cheri, for the information. That agrees with the bulk of the ebay prices I found.
be careful as many of the shirley temple items have been reproduced i collect cobalt and have many many pieces i never buy these because of that
paula,

Thanks for the warning! I'll take it to my next DG Club meeting and see what some of the more knowledgable members say.
Jeff,
Although the glass pattern looks like a honeycomb its' name is not "honeycomb" but "Aurora" by Hazel Atlas, from the late 1930s. The Depression Glass "pitcher" is actually a creamer, 4.5 inches tall.
If there is no picture on the creamer it's not a "used Shirley Temple" but just a cobalt blue creamer. The difference in price reflects the difference in the pieces with the Shirley Temples being more expensive.

Tom,

Thanks for the information! I got the pattern information from ebay. I did know that is actually a creamer. I also knew that reproductions are out there.
