I heard the mold to the bell captain was destroyed in an earthquake so i guess that's why he was so hard to find. I would like to know how many were produced.

I used to have the bell captain and then wound up trading him for something else a few years ago. I wish I could remember what I traded him for!

How many jars do you have??

Are you talking about the Chef Pierre from Redwing which came in several colors.. including the yellow and blue. Also made tan, green and even speckled colors later on.
American Bisque jars are wonderful.. one of my holy grail jars is the American Bisque Rudolph jar..

cookie jars from American Bisque and or American Pottery..They seem to be more in demand now days...my step- aunt was a plant manager of American Bisque in the late 60's and early 70's....She lived in Williamstown Wv.
