Are you talking about the Chef Pierre from Redwing which came in several colors.. including the yellow and blue. Also made tan, green and even speckled colors later on.
American Bisque jars are wonderful.. one of my holy grail jars is the American Bisque Rudolph jar..

I was pretty excited today.. At Disney World and walked into "Minnie's House". she has three cookie jars on display! And all of them were Treasure Craft.
A sitting Donald Duck with his arms crossed, Goofy and a crock style jar.
Pretty exciting for this cookie jar fan. But I was pretty surprised that I did not see one cookie jar for sale in any of the shops. Every time I've been to a park, there have always been at least a few to choose from. Not this year.

Advice for new collectors? Like me?

Do your research on and offline, buy a number of books (they can be bought quite inexpensively online) because there is no way one book will have all the different variations of certain jars, and ask questions until no one will open your emails anymore (grin).

This week I've been working on Raggedy Ann jars - can you guess by the pic that they're a favorite of mine. But I think I am going to par the collection down quite a bit, but can't decide which ones are going to make the cut.

Anyone out here collect or have any Raggedy Ann cookie jars?

What's the best advice you would give to a new collector of cookie jars?

My first one is to Do Your Research Before Buying

What about you?

yes there is one and it is also been faked! So be careful when you buy one.
It sold in 1961 for $3.95 and should be 13.5" tall
