I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

As old age creeps up on me I become more selective in my search but for some reason I drove 28 miles 1-way  to go to a yard sale that started 2 hours before I got there (so much for my "Early Bird Rules"...).

A machine shed on a farm is a long shed with roof, back and side walls, but open in front. He had two of them, filled with boxes. I started looking thru the boxes and the owner ran  up and told me he had sold all of them.  25 lineal feet, 4 boxes thick and 6 feet high.  In one box I saw Depression glass, another was full of buttons... I asked "How much?"  $100. he said.

I asked about spurs, Just sold them... about branding irons...sold them...

I said what about those in the other machine shed, are they for sale?  Yes, and I was the first to get into it.

I got a set* of Pyrex/Corning "Visions" in amber, 11.5", 10" and 7" skillets, and 1.5 qt sauce pan all with lids. $20.   Replacements.com shows 10" lid only for $29.99.

And another box of those Pyrex elongated tab handled casseroles* (8 of them) in pretty colors and designs, a square baker with lid*, and 2 others with lids, also $20.  There were 2 kerosene lanterns* with 4 chimneys and a fish-shaped ash tray*.

*For sale if anybody is interested.

glad you found something!

Got any pix ?

Where's the pics Tom? Holy Cow, we want to see your finds! LOL

BTW - double check those prices for the corningware "visions" cookware. Those are from the 70's and if perfect/like new, they sell a lot higher than $30 bucks!

Lots of pics.  Corrections to sizes.  10", 9.5x3" and 5" skillets, sauce pan says 1Liter-measures 6". The yellow stick-it is wrong. 1 Liter = 33.4 fluid ounces.

Very nice finds. I have a set of the Vision cookware from maybe the 90s and it's cranberry colored. Got them as a gift one year and still haven't used them.
