A Note from Your Moderator, Author Barbara E.Mauzy

Nifty and neat, pot holders are basically a late 1940s – mid 1950s phenomena. When we consider the brevity of their production, by hand no less, it’s wonderful that so many gay and gifty pot holders have survived for us to covet and collect. I was a collector of pot holders before writing Gay and Gifty Pot Holders, and my love for these unique treasures is shown on every page and in my house where I display them, stack them, and even box away piles of them. Join the fun as we admire what others have created and we now protect and cherish..

These are so fabulous. It's actually hard to find nice pinwheels. I don't crochet, but I wonder if they were a bit harder to make and therefore less abundant because fewer were made? Just a thought. I hope your post brings you a sale! Barbara

These pink and white pinwheel potholders are available in my Etsy Shop http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39709730

The blue, gold and brown matching potholders have become part of my personal collection and now hang above my kitchen stove.

Is there anyone who loves these more than I do? I simply can't get enough pot holders, and I favor "realistics". Here's a neat set that was obviously created by the same person, so they deserve to stay together.
