My husband got this bowl in Okinawa, Japan when he was in the service.  Not sure how much it is worth, but we want to sell it.  Can anyone tell me what price to put on it?

Forgot to mention that it is 8 1/2" across and 3 1/4" high.  It also has gold inlay.

Nice newer Imari, when was he there? My guesstimate is ~$100-125ish. We have about 30-40 old imari pieces and 1-2 newer ones, 1 of the new ones being a big 19" charger in the shop for 225.

Thank you for that information.  He said that he got it in Japan around 1985-1986.  That is when he was stationed there.   He was thinking it was worth around $50 so nice to know that it is worth a little more than that.

Ok, a contemprary piece-probably closer to your estimate then. Still a nice piece-enjoy it!

Well I like it, but it just doesn't go with anything we have and he wants to sell it.  So trying to find a good price for it.

Imari never fits any decor-that's the charm I think...!
