Oh my gosh i have a large salt and pepper shaker collection. I have a lot of black americana, advertising, cartoon and various vintage sets. I pick them up off ebay or at auctions, estate sales, yard sales etc. I occasionally will put some up for auction on ebay when my collection gets out of control and i'm running out of space for them.

Jolly Grannies - this set I remember my parents bought for my maternal grandmother in the late 1950s when we vacationed in Letchworth State Park in New York State.  The well-worn tag is visible on the back of one. She called them her Merry Widows.  When her house was being cleaned out, I made sure to retrieve them.

I have been trying to find out something about these shakers for a while now.  I believe they are fairly old.  Purchased them at an estate sale. Hopefully someone could give me some info on them. Age, value.

To keep with the food related theme.  Some of the Shakers I have.

Hungry, anyone? (shaker sets with a food theme):

Or thirsty?

These shakers are made from milk glass and depict the old-time refrigerators with the condensers on the top. They are about 3" tall. A few currently for sale on Ebay from $9 a pair to $75 for one.

A couple of playfully adoreable purple cow salt & pepper shakers just right for your collection.  These cute shakers are available at the Vintage Touch ONLINE store at:  http://deannamoyers.ecrater.com/p/13724208/vtg-purple-cow-sp-set

JANUARY Mission Possible

This particular set has a footed glass bottom. The glass is kind of wavy like an old window pane and in excellent condition. I believe the tops are silver or silver plate.
