My mom used Corelle too! My dad still uses it today. :)
That is an interesting question -how many here had mom's that actually had a "fav" pattern?
As I remember it, we had the "poppy" pattern, might be Franciscan? That you could get with either green stamps or at the Grocery store? Can't remember. LOL
Then it was Corelle from the 1970's till currently - Mom still uses it, was liking Pfaltzgraph until she decided it was just "too heavy" for her - guess who had to sell it for her? lol
Happy Mother's Day Ladies!
In honor of MOTHER'S DAY...what was your mom's favorite china pattern? My mom used china with the gray roses...not sure if this was exactly it or even if she ever wished for another but this photo reminds me of all the china in her hutch!
Hi, I agree with Oralei - that is a Royal Doulton marking - the date is in the marking as well, looks like 1952.
Comment by Oralei/Artorable on May 6, 2012 at 2:18am Millar and Peck was likely the retailer. Many Limoges pieces were made specifically for the American market.
Here is a very pretty antique china transferware plate that has an early mark on the bottom that says 'Rose & Bell' ...not for sure what the company letters are but they look like L. P. & Co. This is an unusual design that looks like a wire background. Available for sale at the Vintage Touch ONLINE store...see listing for photos of the mark on the back. http://deannamoyers.ecrater.com/p/14435672/antique-transferware-pla...
Here's another link showing the number codes. The second group is the D codes. Apparently my dish was made in 1923, going by this info.
Now that you say "Royal Doulton" I can see it. I went on a search and found this:

Third mark down on the right looks most like mine - it has the dots in the crown - made in the early 1900s. Thanks for filling in the missing letters - it's like playing "Wheel of Fortune"
