This plush Gumby doll is 12" tall and made by the Ace Novelty Co. Gumby was one of the early characters of stop-motion animation in the 1950s. He has a resurgence in popularity in the late 1980s when he resurfaced with new adventures and a retinue of new friends and even fronted a garage band called "The Gumbys" - what else?. I believe this toy was marketed during the revival.

I came across these and remember getting them one Christmas in the early 1960s. They are Hanna Barbara cartoon characters that were popular at that time and were made by TinyKins. There are 32, the tallest being Quick Draw McGraw at 1 3/4" and the shortest is Pixie the mouse at 3/4" . Apparently there were 34 in the original set as evidenced by this blog:

I am missing Wilma Flintstone and Dixie the mouse, not surprising since I played with these guys a lot. The set in the link sold for well over $100, but it was a complete set. Just sharing for those that remember these characters.  Pictured are just a few form my set.

My Bimbo dog doll (Betty Boop's dog) was sent to a doll restorer in September.  She is real busy but assures me she should have it done by Christmas.  She is re-stringing it and repainting the face. Can't wait to see my new Bimbo.  Bimbo in good condition is worth $1,200.  Bimbo in my condition worth maybe $50.  So I chose to get him restored. Cost is $210.  Hope it's worth it.

Found this 1963 Dr. John Littlechap figure at a community sale yesterday. He is missing his white shoes and stethoscope, but otherwise in excellent condition.

From what I gathered, he had a wife and two daughters and several outfits befitting a doctor. This very time dated style of Doctor's uniform is what caught my eye.

Great "Peanuts" collectable. It looks to be from about the 1980's.

I recently cleared out a house and found this small Hallmark book from the 1960's.
