I've just introduced a NEW silver polish that's earth-friendly, non-toxic, contains no ammonia, acids, or perfumes, is one of the mildest on the market, and is PERFECT for polishing your flatware (it leaves no residue) as well as all other silver objects!

Hello Dianne,

I don't find many questions being asked about silver care nowadays.

I have posted new copper and brass polish abrasion ratings. See my findings before doing irreparable harm to the finish of your metal objects.

Silver care and giving your customers the absolute best advice

Are you teaching your customers the best and safest polishing methods, polishes and dips to stay away from, and how to display and store their silver. I'm a silversmith specializing in silver restoration, conservation, and preservation. Visit The Care of Silver and make certain you're up-to-date with the latest techniques. If you have any questions after reading my guide, I would be happy to answer them.

Stop Using Tarn-X Immediately! Visit this page to find out why. Then forward the below image to your friends.

It's getting humid out there! That means your silver will develop more tarnish if you don't use silica gel in your cabinets to absorb that moisture. For all the info, including the best (and worst) polishes to use, hop on over to Herman Silver Restoration & Conservation. You'll be glad you did!
