Yippee!!! Thanks Tom I wasn't sure but like you said for what I paid was worth the "risk" I was kind of worried it was a candle holder and when geek said that i was drats. As a reseller these glasses are a great thing to know about because 99% of folks have no clue about = get them cheap and those who do know about them are willing to pay a reasonable price.Barbra got me hooked on peanut butter glasses and now you have me searching for these.

tw: You got one! Congrats. When you use it you would fill the ball part with absinthe, and fill the chamber up with dripped ((though the sugar cube) ice water. I bet you didn't pay more than a dollar for it; it's worth around $15-22.

I only have seen pictures of them.I have to stop reading these groups because then I get chasing the stuff I read about in local stores and yard sales.I think this is the most helpful site I have ever found and I am always learning something new.

the Us Ban was lifted in 2007 after nearly 100 years, but it is strongly controlled - I wouldn't say the stuff you can get here is week, it just won't make you go crazy - so you won't end up dancing naked in times square with a wild cheeta or any the such -- it still has a mild halusination effect if enough is drunk and properly!!

Absinthe--Argh! The memories of that! I had some when we lived in the Azores for 3 yrs. My Ex was stationed there, and both of us had it at a Christmas party that his section had. We also managed to smuggle a full bottle of it back when we moved back to the States from over there. I enjoyed a little nip of it here and there.

I didn't even know that the US had a legal form of it, but since you all say it is super weak, I won't even consider it. I have not even had any hard drink in 2 years, and don't plan on starting again.

I know I have a few collectibles that are related to this category, but cannot tell you what they are at this point in time.
