I also published another article in September's PieceWork "The Law of Crochet" about the May 1852 article by the same name in Britain's satirical Punch magazine. It included a pattern I designed for an "Crotchet Castle" antimacassar (chairback). both antimacassars and Thomas Love Peacock's satiricle book, Crotchet Castle are mentioned in "Law...". I followed that up with further details about the "Law..." on my website: http://threadwinder.info/hist/Law.htm .
March's PieceWork will contain another of my articles---about patriotic knitting tools, not related to publications.
Thank you Faye, I have a extensive collection of antique needlework books and publication, including many Coats & Clark's booklets from the 1910s-1950s. I do not collect Workbaskets, except when I find a pattern I like within them. Do you collect or are you a dealer?

I am so excited. My article on Flora Klickmann's needlework books (written 1912-1921) made the cover of May 2011 Piecework! http://interweave.com/needle/piecework_magazine/default.asp
Hello again, I am looking for something very specific. I mean miniature aprons sewn on the advertised sewing machine and advertising that sewing machine. See the mini-aprons pictured in my album: http://iantiqueonline.ning.com/photo/albums/sewing-machine-stitchery. I want any information on them that I can find, identification, history, prices, anything... My problem is, other than the article I wrote, I suspect little or none has been written on them.
I am particularly interested in anything that may have been published on miniature aprons (2.5"-5") advertising sewing machines. I have looked all over, but haven't able to find anything. I finally wrote a short blurb for Paper & Advertising Marketplace, which they tell me has been published in the January 2011 issue. I have not seen it yet.
