Can't resist sharing this adoreable image of a beautiful little blonde haired girl from the 1950s saying her prayers, perched on her chenille bedspread in her sweet flannel pjs.  This cute image is framed and available for sale at the Vintage Touch ONLINE store at: http://deannamoyers.ecrater.com/p/14219639/vtg-1950s-blonde-little-...

Herman Miller Eames Seats Rapper Ice Cube

By Bill Esler | 12/10/2011

LOS ANGELES - Wood interiors and Eames furnishings, long associated with Herman Miller, are featured in a six-month celebration of arts in Los Angeles called Pacific Standard Time.

In a surprise twist, actor and rap singer Ice Cube professes his admiration of the husband and wife architectural design team, Charles and Ray Eames, in a movie short shot for art festival.

"Before I did rap music, I studied architecture and drafting," says Ice Cube, the musician and actor.

"In a world of McMansions, where the structure takes up all the land, the Eames made the structure and the land one."

Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945 – 1980 is a collaboration of more than 60 cultural institutions across Southern California, coming together for six months (it began in October) and runs through April 2012) to tell the story of the birth of the Los Angeles art scene and how it became a major new force in the art world.

Exploring and celebrating the significance of the crucial years after World War II through the tumultuous period of the 1960s and 70s, Pacific Standard Time is an initiative of the Getty art museum. The presenting sponsor is Bank of America.

Does anyone know what year this model of Super 88 Oldsmobile Rocket Show car this is?  This is a newspaper cut out ad with no date.
