What You Need To Consider When Renting An Antique Booth

Let's talk turkey...and I am not referring to Thanksgiving, I'm talking about renting a booth space in an Antique Mall or Antique group shop. How much should one expect to pay for leasing space and what kind of space is right for you?  My experience as a leasee covers a few decades.

Many antique mall owners are now charging dealers for things such as customer use of a credit or debit card, packing supplies, advertising and other inherent costs of doing business. Be sure to ask about all of these added on fees because once you pay booth rent plus the commission you might have to mark your items up so high that no one will buy them. Booth rental can be fun but the greed of shop owners, usually business people and not antique dealers or collectors, can turn it in to a financial nightmare for you.
