Dianne, your dog is so pretty!!! I luv to browse so long in shops that my pets would soon get bored! LOL Years ago, when I was in much better shape...I took my 'Max' to Petsmart and he 'about dragged me through the store' when he saw all the dog chews! I don't think they let any pets in antique shops or estate sales here in Corpus Christi, unless they are the little hand held really small dogs, or toy dogs. It was so strange that at the last estate sale I went to, there were two men that each had a dog in arms. One was a small chihuahua mix, and the other was a toy yorki.
My little dog Buster, a beagle/brindle terrier mixed would go crazy trying to say hello to everyone, and he's too heavy to carry around; believe it, or not, he's even heavier than my purse! LOL

I just remembered that when making hotel reservations, being asked what kind of dogs I had when I had two standard poodles, I would reply that I had two poodles. the looks I received upon checking in were hysterical, most people believing that poodles are all miniature or toy size.

we go mostly everywhere with our two schnoodles yet because some flea markets and antique show don't allow pets we just don't go to those. in hadly, ma on route 47 they allow dogs and although I have heard that Brimfield doesn't I have brought my dogs there both as a vendor and buyer. recently we went to auburn and stayed at the holiday inn and instead of being relegated to some crumby room with stained rugs and shabby furniture we were allowed to pick any room and paid an extra 15 dollars for special cleanup and believe me it was worth the money. the holiday inns have become sensitive to how much our pets mean to us and are very accommodating where pets are concerned. the holiday inn in Niagara falls has lovely accomodations also.

We've recently gave our dog to our son who is a teacher for a nationally know University in Arkansas.
I joined this group to gain knowledge on how he may benefit from the things discover by members of this group. Your input will greatly be appreciated.

So Sorry Tom, I lost my Daisy May almost 3 years ago - she only made it to 12 - she was a mix. Before her, I had the best dog in the world Max - Shepherd/Timberwolf mix and he was awesome! he also made it to 17 - It was very hard to say good bye to both of them, But, I'm just unhappy without a dog in my home - so I rescued two of them! They bring me joy everyday! And well worth the trouble, There are so many dogs and cats that need good homes. I wish I could handle More - LOL

Dianne, No thanks. regarding your query re: taking pictures, if you wear Levi's or a belt, you can get clips that attach to the belt. Cops use them. Also, you could stand on your leash. Or, most leashes can be pulled back through the loop forming a slip knot or lariat which can be placed around your foot.

Dena, I am not a lover of belts...is there something like a "belt" that I can use, Dianne
Dena Comment by Dena on September 4, 2009 at 8:31am
I wonder if you use one of those really big paper clip type clips to a belt and put his leach through that?
