Well, we weren't "antiquing" however this is Jager, (with my Son Nate) who at 100 lbs age 7 still thinks he's a lap-dog/puppy. hehe

Angell's Cove Cottages in Leeds, ME is wonderful!  You are situated on a beautiful lake and you can rent quipment to get to an island that has an eagle's nest.  Each of 7 cottages has a bird theme, two bedrooms (one in the loft), a self-contained kitchen, dining area, full bath and living room.  They actually LOVE dogs.  Unfortunately, they only operate Spring, Summer and Fall.  We have three dogs and they didn't mind :o)  Of course, being in Maine there were lots and lots of antique spots nearby because it is within probably 35 minutes of route one along the ocean.

Have you stayed in a beachy vacation spot  that allowed  dogs and had great antique shops nearby? Please share your experiences.
