Hello,
I'm new here so I'm not sure if this counts but here goes
I have been searching for information on this lamp post head for years. I have always loved it and I want to know more about it like who made it and what year it's from. Here's what I know about it:
It came with our house when we moved in in 2001
It's at least 30 years old, can't be terribly old because the globe is actually plastic or acryllic (not glass).
It used to be white, we painted it black around 2010 to match our new railings.
The eagle statue may or may not be original. It has always been brass, when we painted the head it did not get painted.
It had a UL sticker inside the bottom mounting area but it was sadly painted over.
I have never seen another one like it.
If anyone out there has ever seen one of these or knows anything about this head, any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Awesome, I looked up those heads and they are very similar, they're very similar except the globes are frosted and the design on the top metal rim under the lid is different, and as you mentioned they don't have the iconic eagle statue. Thank you for the info.
These two had no description provided, but look very similar from my vantage point.
Then I found this one..
