Antique Nautilus Shell/Merman Lamp Info

Hello,

I'm hoping to find some information on this lamp we just bought.  It has carved marble(?) Nautilus shells and a young Merman figure.  It is very heavy to say the least.

What I am hoping to find is some information on the maker.  The only mark is on the custom cast lamp base  There is a C inside a 4 sided diamond.  Pictures attached (I hope)

I'm afraid I don't know the trademark, but it looks like a high-quality lamp, especially if the gilding is over cast bronze and not white metal. I would guess 1920's, maybe a little earlier.
