If you have restored an old trunk and are using it as a decorative accessory , show us some photos.

I have reconditioned many trunks. There is something great about an old trunk. Where has it been? Who made it? Who owned it. If you want to get the musty smell out Sunshine and air is the best solution. To remove the old paper inside. Mix water and vinagar in a spray bottle 3 parts water to 1 vinagar. spray let set and peal with a scraper. Let it dry, and sand. Re wallpaper and your good to go with a nice clean interior. Carefull dome tops are harder. Lots of good tips here. I love it. Tom and Jody

To all members of I antique on Line - this is a great place, but what even makes it greater is being able to "see" you --- and by seeing you, this does not mean your actually self but an identity or pseudo image if you will, that could be anything you want to be (within reason). I have many different Avatars - or images - but here I like using a photo of my brick and mortar store. I also like using my puppies - one such photo is of my Yorkie Zoie with her five puppies beneath her, and one pup in particular named Mackie who at the same time I snapped the picture, rolled on his back. This is definitely a Kodak moment. However; you do not have to be camera proficient and can even choose clip art or anything free from the Internet.

We want you to have an enjoyable time here, and to stay a while. which means we would like to "see you" !!!!

I just added a bunch of original trunk corners, clamps, and ends to my web site www.b-c-e.biz

link to the area with the original trunk parts http://www.b-c-e.biz/default.asp?id=115&cat=Original+Antique+Ic...

have many more parts to add, as in latches, fancy cast corners and such

Hello All, Is anyone familiar with the Tuerke lugage company? I have the trunk in the picture but I have little (or no idea) of its approximate value in the market. It is in a fairly good condition with keys & locks that work. I have many pictures but I need some advise on how to list them on one post here. Thanks.

here is a miniture Lane cedar chest,
when you bought a lane cedar chest & you were a good customer
they would give you a miniture cedar chest

And inside it was advertising from the store & Lane

This one is from a store here in southwest Michigan Blanco's south of Grand Rapids

Thanks Craig, I can't seem to find another like it on the web. My children and grands have always kept pretend pirate treasures in it. All the beads thrown and caught at parades etc. Sometimes I have noticed a few hidden pieces of candy. I guess that would be treasures for them. LOL
