Souvenir box from Glens Falls, NY with floral motif. Trapezoid shaped, it measures 4 x 3.75 inches on top and 4.5 by 4 inches on the bottom.

Mid 19th Century - South Indian Style Sandalwood Jewelry Box with Elaborate Carving

Box carved from exceptionally fragrant sandalwood from the Southern Indian city of Mysore. Each side has carvings of animals depicting scenes from Indian mythology. Feet are stylized elephants. Inside has single removable drawer box with velvet lining.

An old box in which meat was shipped. Imagine going into a modern supermarket and seeing meat in a wooden box. The FDA might raise an objection!
