I am trying to date and value this washbasin and pitcher. I couldn't find an exact match for the mark that is on these pieces. I did find a mark that was very similar but it had England where as my pieces do not. The washbasin is 16" diameter and the pitcher is 10.5 " tall. There are no chips or cracks but there is crazing. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks for the link Kathy. Here is an update on what I've learned which leads me ask another question. I dated the mark to 1886-1891 period. I was told the pattern is called "Reve d' Orient" and was produced in an exclusive and limited pattern.
I have searched everywhere but can't find any info on this particular pattern or any exclusive and limited patterns by either A.J. Wilkinson. Or Royal Staffordshire Pottery during that time period. I have found a similar pattern on a couple pieces but they were produced about 10-15 years later. Does anyone know anything about any of the above mentioned?
